PhD Candidate in Design Computing and Cognition -- Design Lab -- The University of Sydney -- With a background in industrial design education, I'm mainly interested in looking at the cutomisation task for customers from perspective of design. I'm already studying the customers' experience during customisation to understand their designerly behaviours as co-designers. My focus is on three behaviours that professional designers show during design problem solving. Namely, maintaining parallel lines of thought; suspending judgment; and collecting and using precedents. I'm looking at the ways of supporting customers in showing more of these behaviours during customisation and the effect of facilitating these behaviours on customers experience.
